GERALD CASEL (Restaging) was born in Manila and raised in California. He received a BFA from Juilliard and an MFA in Dance at The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Gerald was a member of SPC from 1991-1998 and again from 2001 -2005. In 1997 he was given a New York Dance and Performance Award "Bessie" for sustained achievement. Gerald has danced with Michael Clark, Sungsoo Ahn, ZviDance, Russel Dumas, Lar Lubovitch, Stanley Love, The Metropolitan Opera and his company Gerald Casel Dance. He enjoys teaching in NYC as well as re-staging repertory and assisting Mr. Petronio in creating work for companies around the world (Underland-Sydney Dance Co. & Laytext-Deutsche Oper Berlin).
