Adam Kimmel, from his very first collection, has found inspiration in his hometown of New York. His work is often marked by clean lines, functionality and comfort. Like the work of many of his friends, Kimmel’s pieces have a detailed formal precision, but also possess a certain sense of play. One of the main materials he uses, chamois, is here transformed into the material for a jumpsuit, shirt, or blazer. Often, hard meets soft, and classics are reworked with unexpected accents. Adam Kimmel knowingly uses and abuses the basic function of clothes—his main reason being to give clothes a more intimate and contemporary feeling— a fashionable romanticism that maintains the contour of the male physique. The Adam Kimmel Collection is sold in over thirty outlets throughout the world.
