This is an intensive introduction to the movement language of Stephen Petronio and the repertory of his Company.  Sessions include a warm-up focusing on participants connecting to their unique physicality on a muscular and skeletal level.  Emphasis is placed on the articulation of the spine, the opening of the joints and the direction and flow of energy throughout the body and into space.  Classes address issues that are fundamental in the choreography such as dynamic sequencing, poly-rhythmic initiations and a sense of fearlessness within a complex architectural form.  Phrases from the repertory will be taught.  It is highly recommended to register for the entire intensive as material will accumulate.
